Opening September 2028
Secondary · IB Middle Years Programme

A school built
for the future.

Safari Secondary opens in the heart of Accra in September 2028, with Years 7, 8 and 9 — preparing young people for a future we can't yet fully see, and giving them the skills, the confidence and the independence to shape it.

The future will look nothing like the past.

Many of the jobs today's children will one day do don't exist yet. The challenges they will face, and the tools they will use, are still being invented. An education built for the past cannot prepare them for that. Safari Secondary is designed for the world young people will actually live and work in — a world that will belong to those who can think for themselves, solve real problems, adapt quickly, and turn ideas into action. From what students learn, to how the building itself is designed, every decision is made with that world in mind. Our aim is not to prepare young people to fit into the future, but to give them everything they need to shape it.

Safari Secondary School vision

What the IB Middle Years Programme means for your child

Safari Secondary is built on the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) — one of the world's most respected frameworks for this stage, and one designed for exactly the kind of thinking the future rewards. Rather than teaching subjects in isolation, the MYP connects them. Across seven subject areas, students explore big concepts and real-world questions, and learn to see how ideas in the sciences, languages, mathematics, the arts and beyond all speak to one another.

Just as importantly, students build what the IB calls Approaches to Learning — the practical skills of researching well, thinking critically, communicating clearly, managing themselves and working with others. And the learning is active throughout: students inquire rather than simply receive, investigating, discussing, building, presenting and reflecting, with every topic tied to the real world. Step by step, they take growing ownership of their own progress, moving toward genuine independence and real mastery of what they study.

Design: where ideas become real

Design is one of the programme's most exciting subjects, and a perfect example of how Safari learns. Students don't study design in theory — they create. They might design and prototype a real product, build and refine an AI-driven solution to a problem worth solving, or map and improve a process from beginning to end. Along the way they learn to research a genuine need, test and refine their ideas, and turn a concept into something that actually works. It is where creativity meets problem-solving — and where Safari's future inventors and entrepreneurs take their first real steps.

Design and innovation at Safari Secondary School

We don't just grow graduates.
We grow entrepreneurs.

Above all, Safari Secondary is a place that grows people who can create. Alongside a rigorous academic core, students build real entrepreneurial skills and gain genuine exposure to the world of business — learning to spot an opportunity, shape an idea, and turn it into something of real value. As they move up through the school, students increasingly shape their own path, pursuing the subjects, projects and ventures that match their ambitions — whether that leads toward a top university, toward building something of their own, or both. We are not only preparing young people to find their place in the world. We are preparing them to create one.

Doors open to anywhere in the world

An IB education is recognised and respected by leading universities the world over. A Safari Secondary student will finish ready to walk through the doors of the best institutions, anywhere on the planet — and, just as importantly, ready to make the most of what lies beyond them. Wherever your child dreams of going, this is an education that travels with them.

For our Safari family, the journey continues

Our current Primary students won't have to say goodbye. They can carry straight on into Secondary with the same community, values and people they already know and trust — making Safari a true school for life, from the very first years all the way through to university. And for families joining now, there is a rare opportunity: to be part of the founding chapter of something built to last.

Primary to Secondary — one Safari.

Children moving from our Primary School enter Secondary knowing their teachers, their community and their values. No adjustment. Just the next chapter.
